It's AFRICA hot out there!

Well last week it was Mothers Day. So I thought it would be a good idea to get the day started for Mom with a BIG breakfast. So first thing I did was put down the turkey sausage. "Got to watch it close" Dad says because it can burn easy.

Time to flip!
These eggs sure are tricky. Being extra careful not to break the yolks. Mom likes to dip stuff in them.

Fresh Florida Strawberries..YUMMY! No one likes those green leaves though...
Some crumpets for Mom to dip. Toasty!

Well after Mom ate her breakfast in world record time (she didn't even wait for me to take a picture. Guess she was super hungry) I decided she needed some adventure today. So we packed up the family and went exploring Lucy style!

After looking over the map we checked on "B"...

Got the shades on, and away we went!

I saw this zebra walking around and thought "He looks fun to ride." So I jumped up and took off with him. He was a little freaked out, if you can't tell by his eyes.
Dad said we was so impressed with my animal skills that he said he was going to make some calls to his pals at Busch Gardens and put me to work. So I went to the wardrobe department, got a uniform...and off I went!

After I got dressed (They even got me some keys for my belt) Mom said she had to get at least a picture of me. Enough Mom...I gotta go to work!

So I started to get to work near the turtles, because Wanie loves them, and there I saw "B" messing around. "B...That's not how you do that!" ( I know beacuse I work here.)

"Here, let me help you. But just this ONE time."

After helping "B" out I loaded up the safari truck and took it out to work with some of the African Animals.

Once out there I came up on this scary cave. Are those bones? I wonder who loves here?

MUFASA!

"Hey guys...I'm gonna move the Hyena over there...OK?"

Man they are ugly!

Then off to feed the elephants. They have big poop!

This African heat is a lot to deal with. Gonna work with the Hippo's and cool off. (Sorry if you can't see them here, but it is part of their deal I am told.)

After that I was sent out to tell people all about the Otter's. "Look everyone...Otters!!!"

Well, even a zoo keeper has to stay hydrated. SPECIAL DRINK!

Well I am headed home n0w. Magic are starting their game against the Celtics. GO MAGIC!!!

And DOWN the Stretch They Come!!!

Hello Peeps! I know many of you have been waiting all year for a glimpse of this years Derby Hat and what kind of Derby Party Dad and I threw, but first, a little reminder... My very first Derby hat. Wow am I a cutie!

Then last years hat during my first ever tea party. Dad really out did himself getting me a matching dress too!

Now before I get to this years hat we have to go through the steps of how I got there. Dad got me up this first Saturday in May and said we better get going, got to get to the store for the party supplies! Then he saw me by the table and said "No Way Kiddo...you're dressing a little too old for my age! Now go back to the room and dress your age!" Apparently he thinks I look a little too old here.

So after a quick wardrobe adjustment we went to the store. Now the cool part was Dad let me have my own cart this year. This rocks! You never know, may need a water raft...

Wow, pretty good price on this cereal! Mom would be so proud of my thrifty shopping habits!

Now better get some fruit for this afternoon. Even though it's a party, you can still eat healthy.
Now it's off to that magical jelly filled part of the store!
THE BAKERY! In my very own cart too!!!

Now we got home and Dad had the usual roses together for the "Run for the Roses" but then there it was...my new hat! Now what made this REALLY SPECIAL is that Dad actually made this hat himself! Thanks DAD! It is so PRETTY!

I knew guests were going to be here soon, so quickly I got changed into my new hat AND my Derby dress! What does everyone think?

Now that everyone was here it was time for some fun outside Derby type of games. Hey "B" watch this... I am going to issue a Boccie Ball throw down on Jenn. He thought this was hilarious.

So I got her outside and issued the throw down. Here we are sizing up the game winning final throw...
After Jenn made her final throw I knew it was time to get down and dirty. It's like she doesn't even know what's going to hit her.

And here's the throw....

Look at this...not even close. Maybe next year Jenn!

So after a great race, great food and a great victory over Jenn it was time for a special treat...rice krispy treat that is..I LOVE Derby Day!

Well happy Derby Day everyone! Next week is Mother's Day...So don't forget everyone...hope your planning something special.
For this weeks poll, what do you like to get your Mom for mothers day (Or for you Mom's out there, what do you like to get?) Have Fun!

He's my Dad and I still Love him!

You know how some people are connoisseur's in fancy stuff like art, fine wine and literature? Well my Dad, he's a connoisseur, but not exactly in what I would consider one of the more refined things in life...It's hot dogs people, that's right, I said it...HOT DOGS! I don't tell many people that, but I suppose getting it off my chest now will only save me money from therapy later.

So let me explain this. In Dad's home town there is a hot dog place called Tony Packo's. Anyone who has ever talked to my Dad has heard of it. He loves it. Only problem is you can only get it in stores up in Toledo and a few grocery stores here and there. Well, as it turns out, Old man Packo retired to a place in Florida called The Villages. He too missed his Hot Dogs and opened up shop and my Dad found out about it. So here in is my story.

As soon as he found out we had to go there for lunch....and take pictures of food. Hence...the dogs and emotional scar's for life:

Now if that isn't bad enough, he made me get up in the middle of the place to hold a menu with the logo on it just so he could take my picture with it. DAD..This is REALLY EMBARRASSING!

Then as if hot dogs are not bad enough for you and taking pictures of them isn't humiliating to any young child, he ordered fried pickles...and took pictures of those too.

So now I finally get to eat. YUMMM..this stuff is pretty good!

I enjoyed it so much that after lunch Ashlyn and I had to get up and start dancing. We love this place!

We'll this day was exhausting both physically and mentally.
Short blog this week I know, but I gotta get some rest for my annual Derby Party.
Later Peeps!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

So I was eating breakfast this weekend when Dad said, Hey gang! You know what's going on today? I was like "This better be good, I'm in the middle of some fruit loops!" He said it was my Birthday weekend! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to the bedroom to tell Ma (That's what I call her now. Hold the little house on the prairie jokes please.) and she had a special package from Aunt Brooke. What is in this thing?

Does she know me or what...BUBBLES!

Then Dad said it was time to get dressed and head out to the store to see my pals. So I put on Grandma Mary Ann's new Elmo dress she got me. Am I stylish or what?!?!
B! Get dressed you're going too! He was like "Are you kidding me, really?"

Before we had a chance to change our minds, Meat head was dressed, buckled in and ready to go. I love him.

So after saying Hi to my gang out front and grabbing a morning sugar cookie with them we went to the Deli, had some cheese, said hi to the stock crew and then I couldn't take it anymore....I gotta see my bakery family! I saw Miss Joan and ran right up to her.

She was ready and waiting for me..An ELMO Balloon!

Then they gave me a card and a Elmo doll with a musical story book! These guys rock!

Then it was doughnut time. Jelly filled sugar with butter cream frosting! LOVE IT!

After that I took a group picture with them. Think I found them a Christmas Card.

Then as we were leaving, the gang out front was waiting for me with a special cake just for me. Thanks guys!

It was FANTASTIC too!

Then my family came over to celebrate. Grandma got me this cool book of colors. I am going to be so smart.

Then a number puzzle. This year I am tearing this paper stuff up.

Aunt Michelle and the cousins got me some beach toys. A princess has got to build a castle...:) More on that later.

Then we took a picture with Grandma and all her grand kids. Love you Grandma!

Then we had a cake with them too. A jell-O Poke cake. YUMMY MOM!

The my buddies Ashlyn with her Mom and Dad, Carl, Lauren, Uncle "T" and Tony cam over.
Got me a new grill. Look out Dad, I feel a throw down coming on!

Uncle "T" got me this great Elmo cell phone so I can keep up with my peeps.

Then for the BIG ONE. What could it be?

Oh MY...The Wonder Pets!

Ashlyn, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

After all this excitement I decided to fire up the new grill with Ashlyn and throw back a few dogs.

Well I am Pooped, not literally - Meat Head does that...So after a quick show it was time for bed. Thanks for all the B-Day wishes on Face book gang! I love you all!!!
